Beehive Educational Society contributes to the develop of a college-educated public that reflects the diversity of India, by working in partnership with other colleges to provide access to higher education for students from different communities The Society will work with established pre-college efforts and seek to initiate additional opportunities to identify and prepare students for industrial and professional level. At the postsecondary level, the access and opportunity provided by the Society is not limited to simply meeting freshman student enrollment goals but to also focus on student success. In this vein, Beehive Educational Society provides support for educational initiatives, support services, and leadership development activities that assist students to improve their chances of success in specific majors and careers fields and prepares them for the changing world of work and to assume leadership in their communities and the state

Our Aims

Recruitment- The goal of the Beehive Educational Society is to identify promising students those who demonstrate the commitment, motivation, and potential for success who, with the special/supplementary educational, demonstrate the commitment and potential to successfully complete undergraduate study leading to an approved certificate and for graduate and professional students, leading to an approved master’s, or professional degree.

Improving Student Success – Improving student success, as measured by
i. community college to senior institution transfer rates,
ii. cohort retention, and
iii. graduation rates, is the major task facing the Fund.

Developing Partnerships with other Colleges – To expand the strength of students who are able to take advantage of the educational opportunity provided by the society, Beehive Educational Society is in the process of establishing closer working partnerships with other colleges.

Connecting Education with the World of Work – Career exploration, skills development, and internships/cooperative education to prepare students for the world of work are other experiences critical in a student’s education that the Society will be promoting.
Initiating a Research Agenda – Improving student success and program outcomes will require research and program experimentation beyond the current state of the art in student retention practices and current literature on the subject.

Key Strategies

The College has adopted the following strategies in developing programs and services:
Diversity – Advance the importance of diversity by recognizing and celebrating our differences, and by addressing specific issues related to diversity in the profession and society.
Assessment – Construct programs to assess the effects of diversity in technology functions in industry and in educational institutions.
Education and Training – Design and present educational programs and training on diversity and related issues to the technology sector and educational institutions. Research – Conduct, commission and disseminate research on issues pertaining to diversity in the profession. Collaboration – Build national and international partnerships with educational institutions, professional organizations, industry, and government that will increase and enhance the valuing of diversity in society. Advocacy – Advocate for individuals of diverse backgrounds to become full contributing members of the society. Networking. Offer networking opportunities for the Institute’s clients through national conferences, training seminars, newsletters and electronic networks. Accountability – Assess the Institute’s efforts to support its mission by establishing a system of accountability for measuring the organization’s impact and effectiveness.
