Graphic Era University, Dehradun which is a Deemed-to-be-University was established in 1997 by Graphic Era Educational Society, which is a non-profit organization, as Graphic Era Institute of Technology. In 2008, the Institute was granted the status of Deemed University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC ) act, 1956.
The university has acquired a trans-national dimension through student exchange and knowledge-sharing programs with many universities abroad. The university campus has a rich and spirited atmosphere that is enjoyed by the students throughout the year. In 2015, the university was accredited with an ‘A’ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Graphic Era University Admission
For admission to Graphic Era University, the candidate can visit the campus office or can apply online by visiting through the link given in this article. The institution has different types of admission processes depending on the course one is opting for. The university conducts its own entrance exam for some courses and for other courses the admission is done on the basis of merit decided by the admission authority. The university also takes a valid score of GATE /UPSEE /JEE Main. For every admission, approval is given by the admission cell further sanctioned by the principal. Graduate Courses
- BSC: The institution provides several BSc programs in subjects like agriculture science, physics, mathematics, information technology, and animation and technology. The minimum necessary overall aggregate for admission, which is based on Class 12 final examination grades, is 50%.
- B.Tech. : The institution provides degrees in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and ECE-Internet of Things (Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Big data Analytics, etc.). Applicants must have passed the JEE entrance exam and completed Class 10 plus 2 PCM with a minimum grade point average of 60%.
- BCA: The college offers BCA General. To enroll in this program, students must have completed Class 10 + 2 in any subject, with Mathematics being a requirement. The GEJET scores are used to determine admission.
- BBA: Visual Arts The Era Hill University offers a BBA (General). To be eligible to participate in this course, students must have passed the Class 10 + 2 test. Students must succeed online in the GEJET entrance exam.
- B.Com (Hons): The college offers BCom (Hons). The prerequisite for this course is a class 10 + 2 from an accredited college or university. 50% is the required cutoff percentage. The GEJET scores determine admittance.
Postgraduate Courses
The university provides many postgraduate programs, including MCom, M.Tech, MA, M.Sc, MCA, and MBA. A current UG degree is required of those who wish to enrol in the courses.
- MTech: The school provides an M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering. Students with a BTech in EC, CS, or IT, an MCA, or an MSc in computer science may apply. The GATE scores and the qualifications of the most recent graduation level are used in the selection procedure.
- MA: The university offers MA programs in English and Journalism & Mass Communication. Students with a 50% in BA (English) are eligible to apply. The selection criteria are based on the excellence of the last graduation level.
- BBA: A bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as business administration (BBA), is required for candidates who desire to pursue an MBA. Candidates must perform well on entrance exams like the CAT, MAT, and XAT. Students who passed the qualifying exam are required to take part in group discussions and interviews.
- MCA: Graphic Era University offers a PG Computer Applications degree program. Students must have a bachelor’s degree, such as a BCA or B.Sc., from an authorized university to be admitted to this program. Additionally, applicants must pass an entrance exam that the university accepts.

PLACEMENT
Graphite Age Deemed to be University, more often known as Graphic Era University, has an exceptional record of placements. The institution is now holding its placement drive for the class of 2021, and more than 2400 offers have been made to the candidates as of this point.
A student from the B-Tech (Computer Science) department accepted a CTC of INR 40.37 LPA from Microsoft during the 2021 placement drive. Google offered the highest CTC of INR 54.80 LPA, while the average CTC was INR 5.38 LPA.
